Karla Špetić Resort 18 – MBFWA

While mixing pink, florals and sheer can be considered “too much” from the sartorial point of view, Špetić’s take on resort turns out as a striking formula for sharp romanticism, fusing simplicity, edginess and yes, a dash of playfulness. With her distinctive laid-back allure and clean cut appeal, the designer gave us a lesson on how to master the art of revealing, – an ethereal and whimsical vision fusing elements of sporty aesthetic with low-key luxury.

The well-structured range levels up the sporty concept with understated elegance. A visual symphony of diaphanous looks with effortless and flattering silhouettes. There was a smart dose of sheer in sync with modern tailoring, enhanced by exquisite fabrics and subtle accents. For those adventurous who fancy the see-through game, Špetić proposed luxurious organza pieces in the form of sheer pants, skirts, and cover-ups to complement swimwear, but I dare to say every woman would be pleased with the trans-seasonal organza coats and blazers with metal finish, right?

Last but not least, great styling work to complement this collection on stage – To balance the eye candy theme, no better than the “no makeup look” and sleek hairstyle, for a flawless and minimalist allure.

Alberta Ferretti – Resort 2013

Here we got some 70´s and boho inspiration by italian designer Alberta Ferretti for her Resort 2013 collection combining multiple silhouttes : short suits to cigarrete pants, knee-length jackets,    while floor-sweeping gowns were spun out of lace and vibrantly colored crochet knits. Other pieces, like an elegant blush-colored gown and a sheer sleeveless shirt, were decorated with Murano glass beads.
